ACT 1 =DISFUNTIONAL FAMILY=
*Scene 1/SOME BREAKFAST
- Narrator: This was a morning just like every morning in the Harrison’s house everyone was at the table, but no one talking the only noise was the one of the spoons and plates of food
- Sara: (Stands up talking in the phone in a way of goodbye without talking with them)
- Mr. Harrison: (Answeres a call from the job and says to his wife) Goodbye sweetie! Have a nice day!
- Mrs. Harrison: Bye! Let´s go Molly its getting late!
- Molly: (Stands up without stop playing in her ipad)
- Narrator: Everyone leaves home to go and do their respective daily tasks
*Scene 2/ SARA AT SCHOOL
- Lizzy: Hey:
- Sara: Hey girl! What are you doing?
- Lizzy: Great! What about you!
- Sara: Same are you ready for today?
- Lizzy: I’ve been thinking about that. I´m not sure that is a good idea
- Sara: Don’t be bored is just a short trip during classes
- Lizzy: (Thinking) Ok! Just once ok?
- Sara: Sure! Don’t worry
- Lizzy: Ok, then Im completely ready!!!
* Scene 3/ MOLLY AT SCHOOL
- Molly: (Alone eating)
*Scene 4/MRS. HARRISON AT MARKET
- Casher: Do you find everything you need?
- Mrs. Harrison: Mmmh.. Yes! Thank you!
- Casher: It would be $15.30
- Mrs. Harrison: Here you have (Gives the money)
- Casher: Thank you! Come soon!
*Scene 5/MR. HARRISON AT JOB
- Boss: Harrison!! Did you talk to the client yesterday?
- Mr. Harrison: No, I forgot it I’ll do it now
- Boss: What about the report? I told you to send me!
- Mr. Harrison: I’m finishing, it will be in your office in aproxan hour
- Boss: I need you to be more efficient
- Mr. Harrison: Yes, sir. I’m doing all I can
- Boss: Well! It is not enough
- Mr. Harrison: Don’t worry sir. Everything will be done on time
- Boss: I let it on your hands-
ACT 2 =PROBLEMS EVERYWHERE=
*Scene 1/PRINCIPAL’S CALL
(Phones Rings)
-Mrs. Harrison: (Answers phone) Hello!?
-Principal: Hello Mrs. Harrison is principal Mayer, how are you?
-Mrs. Harrison: Hello Mr. Mayer. I’m fine and you?
-Principal: Fine too, thanks for asking. I made this call to talk to you about Molly, this last semester she seems to be lonely and sad, and her grades have been decreasing. Is something bad happening at home?
-Mrs Harrison: Really? I haven’t idea. I don’t know everything is ok in here
- Principal: Great I’m glad. I would love to offer you to make a visit to the school psychologist maybe she can help Molly and talk to her so you can know what happens and why she´s that way
- Mrs. Harrison: Thank you Mr. Mayer, I wil talk it with my husband so we take a decision together
-Principal: Perfect. Well I just wanted you to know it, wish you have a nice day.
-Mrs. Harrison: Same for you. Thank you (She hangs off and sits thinking)
*Scene 2/DINNER
- Sara: Hi mom. We are in home!
- Mrs. Harrison: How was your day?
- Sara: As everyday mom, bored(watching an the phone)
-Mrs. Harrison: What about yours Molly?
-Molly: (On the Ipad) Fine Mom!
-Mrs. Harrison: Did something happened?
-Molly: (Looked at her Ipad) Noup!
-Mrs. Harrison: Let’s wait for your father
-Mr. Harrison: I’m here
-Mrs. Harrison: Hi my love! How was the job?
-Mr. Harrison: Hard as always! I’m too hungry, can we start?
-Mrs. Harrison: Sure!
(Everyone haves dinner)
*Scene 3/BEFORE BED
-Mrs. I have to talk to you
-Mr. Harrison: Well then, talk
-Mrs. Harrison: Today the principal called
-Mr. Harrison: And?
-Mrs. Harrison: He told me that Molly wasn’t that good in school and that she was having some troubles with makingfriends ad that stuff.
-Mr. Harrison: Well, we will talk about it later, today I’m stressed enough to support more bad news
-Mrs: (Mad gets to sleep) Okay.
ACT 3 =DISCOVERED=
*Scene 1/SARA’S BAD PLAN
(At school)
-Sara: Ready?
-Lizzy: More than ready!!
-Sara: Ok, follow me and don’t move too much
-Lizzy: Ok, wait!! Someone is coming
- Sara: Still there?!
-Lizzy: Noup, Let’s go!!
*Scene 2/ANOTHER CALL
-Mrs. Harrison: Hello?
-Principal: Good Morning Mrs. Harrison, its Principal Mayer again. (I’m sorry to bother you again but I have to give you a report about your daughter
-Mrs. Harrison: Molly again?
-Principal: No, this time is about Sara
-Mrs. Harrison: What happens to Sara?
-Principal: Someone saw her today escaping from school with other girl who seems to be her best friend.
-Mrs. Harrison: Are you sure it was her?
-Principal: I’m sorry Mrs. But yes I’m sure we already checked the cameras
-Mrs. Harrison: Well thank you Mr. Mayer I will talk to her
-Principal: Ok Mrs. Harrison, it was a pleasure to talk to you again. Best regards for you and your family
-Mrs. Harrison: Thank you. Bye
*Scene 3/TIRED OF THE SAME
-Mrs. Harrison: (Calls her husband) Hi sweetie, can you come home early today please?
-Mr. Harrison: I don’t know my love. Do you need something?
-Mrs. Harrison: I have to talk to you its important
-Mr. Harrison: I will do everything I can to be there early
-Mrs. Harrison: Ok, see you here then
-Mr. Harrison: Ok bye.
*Scene 7/EVERYTHING EXPLODES
(Everyone is at home and dad comes in)
-Mrs. Harrison: Well! Now that we are all in here together I order everyone to let your devices or stop doing whatever you are doing and pay attention to me
(Everyone obeys)
-Mrs. Harrison: Today I received a call from a man who also talked to me yesterday
-Mr. Harrison: What are you talking about it?!!
-Mrs. Harrison: Principal Mayer told me that Molly has been giving pretty bad grades.
-Mr. Harrison: What is it about? Why?
-Mrs. Harrison: Wait! He also told me that today Sara!! Skipped school with a friend
-Mr. Harrison: Is that true?
-Sara and Molly: (See each other)
-Mr. Harrison: (Stands up mad) What the heck is happening with you two girls!!! Is it too hard to go to school, sit there, and have good grades? Do you think I work for you to eat while you just do whatever you want?...
-Narrator: Mr. Harrison was too mad he start saying a lot of things then Mrs. Harrison started yelling things, both of them were too mad that things went out of control. Between yells and stress Mr. Harrison slapped Sara. Everything silences
-Sara: I hate you two because of you I do what I do (Runs to her room)
-Molly: (cry)
*Scene 5/FINAL DECISSION
-Mr. Harrison: Do you think I was too hard?
-Mrs. Harrison: I don’t know. I feel bad for some things I said.
-Mr. Harrison: Me too, but I wasn’t able to control myself I was too mad and stressed, I have a lot of problems at work, then I come and realize that my daughters are not putting the effort necessary art school. I just don’t know what to do.
-Mrs. Harrison: I didn’t know you where having troubles at work (stops) I guess we should talk more about our days and pay more attention to each other so we can help our daughters.
-Mr. Harrison: That’s true, maybe it is not completely their fault, and they’re having troubles too. We need to help them grow they can’t do it by themselves.
-Mrs. Harrison: Principal Mayer told me to visit the school’s psychologist. Do you thing she could help us?
-Mr. Harrison: Maybe she can. Why don’t you plan a date with her so you can talk about this, she will tell you what to do
-Mrs. Harrison: You’re right. Tomorrow I will go with her.
-Mr. Harrison: I wish this can be fixed quickly
ACT 4 =PSICHOLOGIST’S HELP=
*Scene 1/Visit to Psychology
-Mrs. Harrison: Hello! I’m Mrs. Harrison, Sara and Molly’s mother
-Psychology: Hello! Nice to meet you. What can do for you?
-Mrs. Harrison: Mr. Mayer told me to talk to you about some troubles we are having at home with the girls. Do you have time now?
-Psychology: Sure! Come in!
-Narrator: Mrs. Harrison told the Psychologist everything that was happening at home. She gave her some tips and planned another visit with Molly and Sara separated
-Mrs. Thank you I will try to apply everything you told me
-Psychology: At first it can be hard, but when everything gets better you will realize it was worth the effort
-Mrs. Harrison: Ok thank you very much. See you soon
*Scene 2/CHANGES
-Molly: But, who is her mom?
- Mrs. Harrison: She is a friend who will help you make friends and better grades
-Molly: But I don’t worry she is a good person
-Molly: Ok mom.
*Scene 4/RESISTING TO RESOLVE
-Mrs. Harrison: You have to talk to her to Sara
-Sara: But why? I know exactly who she is, and I’m not crazy to talk to a psychologist
- Mrs. Harrison: I know you are not crazy. She will talk to you. She just wants to help us and you will tell her whatever you want, you don’t have to tell her everything
-Sara: (Sighs) Okay … But if I don’t feel good talking at her I will quit
-Mrs. Harrison: OK!
*Scene 5/HAPPY ENDING
-Narrator: Mrs. Harrison talked to Mr. Harrison and she always says to him everything the psychologists tell her so he couldapply too. Sara felt comfort with the psychologist so she told her everything she felt. The psychologist tell her what to do how to behave and how happier so she learnt to make friends and improve her grades. Mr. Harrison learnt to let the job at works and to talk and communicate with his family now she know how to help her family so they can be a functional family and to deal with any kind of trouble
